For over 25 years I have been organizing exclusive, interactive experiences and customized business events. In 2019 I started my own business as a professional event manager. Since then, I have also been organising customised tours for companies, organisations or individuals as a freelance tour manager.
I enjoy organising tours with local guides in Zaandam/the Zaan Region. These areas have an enormous historical value and beautiful (World)heritage, both in stones and in nature.
The Amsterdam / Zaan region
Bordering Amsterdam, alongside the river Zaan, stretches an independent-minded area of world class. Discover the Zaan regian like a local. The mills on the Zaanse Schans and the Inntel hotel in Zaandam have acquired world fame.
The Zaan region became one of Western Europe’s first industrial areas in the 17th century with its thriving mill industry. In the 19th century these mills were for the most part replaced with steam engines. Due to the food and wood industry, the Zaan made a good name for itself.
Fortunately, even today one can still find wonderful industrial heritage, the typical Zaan architectural style and a lively entrepreneurial spirit. The Zaan region’s ‘cellar’, as it used to be called for its many food factories, now provides us with regional products as e.g. chocolate, biscuits, mayonnaise, mustard, sambal, the typical Zaan ‘duivekater’ and beer.
Tailor-made tours are particularly suitable for exclusive groups of 10 up to 20 people. Ask especially about the various discovery tours on foot or by boat.
